Childish Gambino Names Kanye West As His “GOAT Rapper” During Interview With Complex

During a recent interview with Complex Donald Glover who is known by many rap fans as Childish Gambino named Kanye West as his “GOAT Rapper” he stated “I feel like we would not have any of the rappers we have now without (Kanye)” before this statement he said “I know that’s controversial” many rappers as of late have steered away from talking about Kanye or working with him following his slew on anti-Semitic rants and negative publicity within the public eye.

Another rapper who was recently asked about Kanye West was Lil Dicky who is the creator of the hit FX show “DAVE” a biopic about Lil Dicky’s life and rap career. Lil Dicky spoke about Kanye on the Flagrant Podcast with Andrew Schultz stating a similar sentiment as Gambino “He was nothing but nice to me the entire time, And this is my hero I told him to his face, I don’t know if I would have this self-belief that I have if I wasn’t like my formative years weren’t like listening to this other person having this insane self-belief in himself and that being the soundtrack to my life, I owe a lot to him, my attitude is probably formed by early Kanye.” Lil Dicky also had this to say about Kanye’s recent anti-Semitic outbursts “I was like surprised cause I don’t think in his heart Kanye dislikes Jewish people, I know he knows I’m Jewish I know he likes me”; “I think the thing he can't stand the most is when people tell him what he can or cannot say” Schultz then asked Dicky “you don’t think at his core is anti-semitism, you think at his core is rebellion” Dicky responded with “Exactly”

I think both of these artists’ opinions show that Kanye is still in “good graces” with some of the hip-hop community but whether or not Kanye is truly anti-Semitic or not, His constant need to rebel against people telling him what to do based on his superstar status will continue to get him in more hot water down the line.
