Is 4Batz An Industry Plant?

You may be asking yourself while reading this article what is an Industry Plant?

I’m happy to inform you. An industry plant is a word commonly tossed around in the hip-hop space this is an artist that is “planted” or backed by a major/independent record label but presents themself as a “homegrown startup” to create an illusion of an organic following.

I believe that the main reason that 4batz has gotten so much scrutiny online for being an industry plant is because he had only 2 songs out when his song “act ii: date @ 8” blew up it is difficult to get recognized in the music industry especially so quickly, This has lead to many fans believing that he was “planted” by a record label.

But I find that hard to believe if you’re looking purely at his lack of a catalog then that may lead you to believe that he is an industry plant, But I feel that his unique cadence is what has led him to his early stardom as a hip-hop artist. Many artists like Drake, Kanye, Travis Scott, etc. Have all been trying to tap into TikTok and specifically vitality of the platform. TikTok has become the main way to consume music for the younger generation and to continue to strive for success specifically in the hip-hop space you need the platform.

4Batz seems to fit into a similar lane as Playboy Carti, his unique cadence, and genre-bending hip-hop beats is what led him to shine. His appearance was also a huge factor in his; his high-pitched tone on many of his songs led people to believe that he was a a woman or young child but he is a grown man whose music videos fit the typical hip-hop vibe. 4Batz recently signed an EP deal with OVO Drake’s record label, his highly anticipated first EP ‘You Made Me A St4r” is scheduled to be released on April 5th. We can't wait to see what this rising star has to bring to the table on his first project.
